Teflon ® Encapsulated Thermometers

The encapsulated (Teflon ® protected) Thermometers on this page are available in these or any other specification. Encapsulation reduces the chances of breakage. However, should the breakage occur, contamination is eliminated since all mercury and broken glass is contained within the Teflon ® jacket. They may be used in corrosive chemicals or acids up to 250°C. They all have yellow backgrounds for greater legibility, but may be ordered in white if desired. Please note that any encapsulation increases the lag time, but does not affect the accuracy of these or other precision grade thermometers. Made to meet or exceed NIST (NBS) requirements. Any thermometer can be encapsulated - contact us.
